The 2,788km² Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve ranks as Uganda's second-largest protected area, but it remains somewhat undeveloped and it's likely you'll be the only tourists here. Inhabited by Pian and Upe pastoralists who maintain a traditional semi-nomadic lifestyle, this dry-country reserve protects Uganda's largest populations of cheetah, roan antelope and greater kudu, along with lion, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, patas monkey and more than 250 bird species.
We have no doubt that you have enjoyed an incredible safari in Uganda, but sadly it now comes to an end. We wish you a safe onward journey and look forward to seeing you again next time you go on safari.
